The Lake Minnetonka Conservation District (LMCD), through its Save the Lake Fund, has partnered with the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Water Patrol to create a Boater Safety Education Program. Adults and youths (ages 12 to 17 years old) work directly with presenters in obtaining their Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MN DNR) Watercraft Operator’s Permit. A parent/guardian is encouraged to attend with a youth to enhance the value of training.
A session is scheduled for Monday, June 19, 2017 at the Westonka Public Schools’ Education Service Center (Community Room), 5901 Sunnyfield Rd E, Minnetrista.
