The LMCD Board meets the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the Wayzata City Hall, 600 Rice Street. The first meeting of the month (second Wednesday) will start at 7:00 p.m. The second meeting of the month (fourth Wednesday) will start at 6:00 p.m. This meeting is reserved for the approval of minor action items, i.e., the audit of vouchers for that period of time, etc. The remainder of that meeting will be held in a workshop setting to accommodate Board discussion of a variety of matters (Executive, Finance, or Personnel Committee needs; Board training; an educational overview of more complicated agenda items (including possible Lake tours), etc. The Board may also hold other special meetings from time to time. The meeting packets, or any respective cancellation notices, are posted on the front page of this website the Friday prior to each scheduled meeting.
To conduct business, the Board must have a quorum (eight of the fourteen Board members). A majority vote of the Board in attendance is needed to approve most motions and resolutions. Ordinance amendments require eight affirmative votes.

Advisory committees are established in January of each year to assist the Board of Directors in its policy and decision-making process for Lake Minnetonka. These committees consist of variety of Lake Minnetonka stakeholders in an effort to maintain and preserve this great natural resource.
