

The LMCD has a number of rules and regulations that apply to water structures in Lake Minnetonka. Water structures include (but are not limited to) docks, lifts, buoys, etc. Examples of these rules and regulations include: 1) authorized dock use area (the location where docks and boats must be stored), 2) the number of restricted watercraft that may be stored at a residential site (based on the amount of shoreline and ownership), 3) unlicensed facilities, 4) licensed facilities (multiple dock and special density licenses), and 5) variances from LMCD Code. The committee assesses Lake Minnetonka rules and regulations, recommending proposed changes to the Board of Directors when deemed necessary.
This committee is chaired by LMCD Board Member Doug Babcock. Its members are appointed annually by the LMCD Board of Directors and consist of the following:
Meetings are scheduled on an as-needed basis by the Chair. All meetings are conducted in the LMCD office on a selected day and time.
