Save the Lake Committee

The LMCD created the Save the Lake Fund in the 1970s as a supplemental source to fund projects that meet the environmental and recreational needs of Lake Minnetonka.  The Save the Lake Committee is an advisory committee that oversees Save the Lake fundraising efforts, as well as request for Save the Lake funds.

This committee is currently chaired by LMCD Board member Bill Olson.  Its members are appointed annually by the LMCD Board of Directors and currently consist of the following volunteers:

• Selected LMCD Board members
• Former LMCD Board member Tom Skramstad
• Jay Soule (Al and Alma’s Supper Club)
• Former LMCD Board member Lisa Whalen

Meetings are scheduled on an as-needed basis, when deemed necessary by Chair Olson.  All meetings are coordinated in the LMCD office at 8:30 a.m. on a selected Tuesday.
