Lake Minnetonka Boater Safety Education Training Session

The Lake Minnetonka Conservation District (LMCD), through its Save the Lake Fund, is pleased to announce the first of three 2014 Lake Minnetonka Boater Safety Education Program training sessions, which will be held at no cost.  Youth, 12 to 17 years old, will work directly with presenters in obtaining their Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Youth Operator Permit. Additionally, participants will receive knowledge of Minnesota boating laws through practical teaching, key on-board safety best practices, and understanding and awareness of Lake Minnetonka’s unique boating experience. Guardians are encouraged to attend to enhance the value of their training.

The first session is scheduled for Saturday, April 26th, at the Minnetonka Community Center. The session will be limited to the first 20 participants that register by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 18th.  A summary of the program details and registration form are within.  Please feel free to contact LMCD Executive Director Greg Nybeck at 952-745-0789 or gnybeck@lmcd.org with questions.
