2014 Lake Minnetonka Boater Safety Education Program

The Lake Minnetonka Conservation District (LMCD), through its Save the Lake Fund, is pleased to announce three 2014 Lake Minnetonka Boater Safety Education Program training sessions, which will be held at no cost.

Youth, 12 to 17 years old, will work directly with presenters in obtaining their Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Youth Operator Permit. Additionally, participants will receive knowledge of Minnesota boating laws through practical teaching, key on-board safety best practices, and understanding and awareness of Lake Minnetonka’s unique boating experience. Guardians are encouraged to attend to enhance the value of their training.

The next session will be held in September or October.  The LMCD welcomes your communication of interest.  Please email your name, telephone number, and how many youth are interested in attending to eherman@lmcd.org. Once the date has been set, the website will be updated and Administrative Assistant Emily Herman will be sure to initiate communication to all that have inquired. Questions can also be directed to the LMCD office at 952-745-0789.
