The Lake Minnetonka Conservation District (LMCD), through its Save the Lake Fund, is pleased to announce the third 2014 Lake Minnetonka Boater Safety Education Program training session, which will be held at no cost on Saturday, November 1st at the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Water Patrol Office, 4141 Shoreline Drive in Spring Park.
Youth, 12 to 17 years old, will work directly with presenters in obtaining their Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MN DNR) Youth Operator Permit. Additionally, participants will receive knowledge of Minnesota boating laws through practical teaching, key on-board safety best practices, and understanding and awareness of Lake Minnetonka’s unique boating experience. Guardians are encouraged to attend to enhance the value of their training.
