Apply To Serve On Save the Lake Committee!

Interested in helping protect and preserve Lake Minnetonka?

The Lake Minnetonka Conservation District (LMCD) is seeking community members interested in serving on the Save the Lake Committee, a volunteer advisory committee to the LMCD Board of Directors.

The Save the Lake Committee supports projects and initiatives that promote lake safety, environmental stewardship, education, and protection of Lake Minnetonka. Committee members bring diverse perspectives, experience, and expertise to help inform the Board’s work and advance shared goals for the lake.

What to Expect:

  • Volunteer advisory role to the LMCD Board
  • Approximately six meetings per year
  • Collaboration with LMCD Board members and fellow community representatives
  • Opportunity to contribute meaningfully to lake-related initiatives and discussions

Who Should Apply:

LMCD welcomes interest from individuals who:

  • Live in or have a strong connection to an LMCD member city
  • Have relevant professional experience, volunteer background, or personal interest in lake issues
  • Are willing to actively participate and collaborate

How To Apply:

Members of the public who are interested in serving are invited to complete the fillable Save the Lake Committee Application available at the link by January 13th.

Applications will be reviewed by the Save the Lake Committee. Appointments are subject to Board approval.
