AIS Master Plan
The LMCD is taking new steps to identify, prevent, and manage Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) threats on Lake Minnetonka. We published our Master Plan in June 2020 and are pleased with the progress being made to manage AIS in our lake.
Native & Invasive Aquatic Species
Enjoying Lake Minnetonka and preserving its ecology depends on the balance of native aquatic species, management of current aquatic invasive species (AIS), and preventing new AIS threats.
AIS Prevention & Management
Controlling invasive species is difficult and costly, and eradicating them is often impossible. Whenever possible, preventing invasive species from arriving in the first place is the best option.
